On the road for the better part of last week: meeting new Guild Complex board members in Chicago for board/fundraising training; valuable work, valuable people. But equally important: a visit to Cristo Rey Jesuit High School during the day to meet with Octavio Gonzalez and Carolyn Alessio to discuss Letras Latinas Young Writers Initiative.

Cool time in Buffalo, NY later in the week, hosted by poet and critic, Peter Ramos, whose first book is forthcoming with Blaze VOX. Dinner gathering, one evening, at the home of Berta and Ricardo Tejada, parents of poet and art critic, Roberto, with whom I read at the Rooftop Poetry Club series. Great time all around.
