I cannot recall another poem that has had such an immediate impact on me as Andrés Montoya's "Star Struck." Bam! To have the opportunity to support the Andrés Montoya Poetry Prize Initiative in this way is a very, special experience for me. To Andrés and Malaquias Montoya, and to the monumental work of these two great artists!

The finalists for the fifth edition of the prize have recently received their e-mails informing them that their manuscripts are now with final judge Francisco X. Alarcón.
